Tizzy

In a Tizzy

What is a tizzy?

A tizzy is an emotional storm full of rushing bursts of wind filled with bubbles and shards of hard feelings. It’s distressing and hopeful and frantic and determined all at once.

More succinctly, a tizzy is a condition of confused excitement. It’s an energetic state in which a person darts between feelings at a pace reminiscent of mania, but to be in a tizzy isn’t a symptom of poor mental health. It’s just a normal reaction to being caught off guard, unable to respond in a sensible way for a while.

A tizzy isn’t cause for concern. It’s a lightweight emotion that works itself out as the person feeling it regains their equilibrium, putting a calm mood back in place piece by piece, no permanent harm done.
